Updated: Nov 12, 2019
Did you know that over 3 million people are believed to have osteoporosis in the UK?
Did you know that we start to lose bone mass in our 30’s?
Did you know that hips, wrists and spine are the weaker areas of our body?
Buff Bones is a unique exercise system using alignment principles, joint mechanics and fascia connections – no matter what your age, whether you have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, have low bone density or just want to maintain strong & healthy bones.
Created and proven by Rebekah Rotstein, an American ballerina who was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in her late 20’s, Buff Bones is now taught worldwide in the fitness sector.
Sara Rounce, Women’s Fitness Specialist and Founder of The Wellwoman Fitness Foundation, is one of the first to bring Buff Bones to Surrey in the UK.
Sara will focus on 3 key areas: Dynamic movements, Muscle strength & power and balance incorporating visual, vestibular, and somatosensory (foot) movement. The sessions follow the bone health principles and include a standing warm up, followed by lying & kneeling exercises and standing balance at the end.
Buff Bones is designed for anyone who is mobile and can get up and down off the floor as well as stand on two feet and integrates Pilates, strength training, functional movement, therapeutic exercise and trains the body to be adaptive and resilient to help you with daily living.
